Grant Robinson, AMFT
My name is Grant Robinson and I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist in California. I have a Master's degree in Counseling with a Marriage, Family and Child Emphasis from Palo Alto University.
I started my career arc using my B.A in Psychology to work in community mental health, including a crisis management team for homeless and at-risk youth, as well as working with those on the Autism spectrum. This work created a love for working with people on their mental and physical health. As a direct reaction to wanting to help as much as possible, I enrolled in a Master's program at Palo Alto University seeking a higher level of education and understanding of the community around me. The clinical training included both individual and family mental health counseling with teens and their families.
I have had experience working with a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, relational conflict, and addiction. As a Coach, a Counselor and a Mentor located in CA, my main focus is now sports performance counseling as well as career counseling. I can utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well as Person-Centered Therapy, Solutions-Focused Therapy and Somatic Therapy during our time together.
I offer a soothing and healing experience, utilizing empathy, reflection, and guidance with changes in thought and behaviors around the issues. There is an opportunity to provide some relief from the pressures of life weighing you down. I want to help you find a sense of safety and the calm that you have been searching for.
It can be difficult to open up to someone new, especially a stranger, but I can provide assurance without judgment and safety without criticism.
I provide in person sessions in Newport Beach, CA and Teletherapy Services throughout CA.
